Conference Explores the World in Albany Park

Friends, as Chair of the C.A.R. Subcommittee on Cultural Diversity I invite you to join the North River Commission -- a group comprised of North Side civic organizations – to attend a sequence of community events culminating in a six-day conference: April 11-16, 2011, at Northeastern Illinois University.

This free program, co-sponsored by NEIU and nearby North Park University, is entitled “Experience the World in Albany Park—Globalization in our Backyard.” It promises to be a rich and dynamic conversation about the cultural diversity that makes this part of Chicago one of the most spectacular in our city.

Whether you have interest in cultural diversity for business or personal reasons, this will be a terrific place to learn more. Visit neiu.edu/~sociolgy/confIndex for conference details. I hope to see you there!
