You are probably aware of IAR’s Legal Hotline service as a resource for real estate-related legal information. But did you know that the hotline is available as a resource for your own questions, on topics ranging from fair housing to zoning to records retention and smoking bans?

Designated REALTOR® broker-managers in each office are authorized to call the Legal Hotline. During the first three-quarters of 2011, topics receiving the most calls included:

-          The scope of license law, 301 calls

-          Contracts to purchase, 234 calls

-          License law and business practices, 227 calls

-          Advertising, 194 calls

-         Escrow accounts, 182 calls
